The Leadership Challenge®

The material for the program is taken from the book with the same title, The Leadership Challenge (2007) by James Kouzes and Barry Posner.

The curriculum incorporates the five practices and can be designed in many ways to fit what is best for your audience; face-face workshops, webinars, eLearning deliverables, simulations or a combination of several different deliverable styles.

Example Workshop Curriculum

The five practices are:
1. Model the way Truth 1 – Leadership development begins with self development
2. Inspire a shared vision Truth 2 – You can’t do it alone
3. Challenge the process Truth 3 – The foundation of leadership is credibility
4. Enable others to act Truth 4 – You either lead by example or you don’t lead at all.
5. Encourage the heart
There is a Leadership Practice Inventory (LPI) which is a 360 feedback which is used to review where you as a leader, manager and employee see your strengths and where others see your strengths and identify areas for growth in the five practice areas.
